Turf

We are suppliers to the wholesale and retail markets of many different types of turf seeds, including Perennial Ryegrass, Turf Tall & Fine Fescue, and Bentgrass; and have the ability to do custom blends to meet your specific lawn needs.

Bentgrass

Bentgrass is a fine turf-grass used in special applications, due to the very small plant size compared to other grasses. Colonial Bentgrass is mostly exported for special turf purposes, while Creeping Bentgrass is widely regarded as the best variety for golf course putting greens.

Fine Fescue

Fine fescue is mainly used in turf-grass blends, where up to 60 percent of the mixture is fine fescue. This grass is the most shade tolerant of all the grass species, and has a wide area of adaptation from the upper-southern states to central Canada. We have 3 exclusive varieties of fine fescue, including: Henry Hard Fescue, Frazer Chewings Fescue, and Silverlawn Creeping Red Fescue.

Tall Fescue

Tall fescue is primarily used as a turf-grass in the southeastern United States, and as a high producing forage-grass in pastures. The two individual lines of turf tall fescue and forage tall fescue are distinct enough that they cannot be used interchangeably.

Perennial Ryegrass

Perennial ryegrass is the most popular species of grass seed for turf. It provides a permanent turf in northern climates, and in southern climates it is used to overseed dormant Bermuda grass to provide year-round green color. This grass establishes quickly and is very durable. We also grow and have available Colosseum & Arena varieties of Perennial Ryegrass that are bred and marketed by PGG Wrightson Turf in Australia.
