David Doerfler

David is the President, and is an owner and has been involved in the daily operations of Ioka Farms since 1968. He is a graduate of Oregon State University, and is active in many agriculture-related organizations, and was a Volunteer Fireman in Silverton for 20 years.

Don Doerfler

Don is the Production Operations Manager of Ioka Farms and directs daily operations of farm production, Christmas trees and nursery.  He is involved with the industry by serving on the Oregon Ryegrass Commission, Oregon Fine Fescue Commission and Oregon Seed Council.  He has been working full time on the farm since graduating from Oregon State University in 1993 with a Bachelors degree in Agriculture.

Rita Doerfler

Rita is the Treasurer, and is an owner and has been involved in the bookkeeping for Ioka Farms since 1968. She attended the Oregon College of Education (now Western Oregon University), and has been and is currently involved in many agriculture-related organizations including Oregon Women for Agriculture and the Oregon AgFest.

Bruce Duerst

Bruce has been on the family farm since a very young age, and is currently a farm manager. He attended Chemeketa Community College, Oregon State University, and graduated from Western States Chiropractic College. He is currently involved in the crop production, seed cleaning, and marketing for Ioka Farms.

Doug Duerst

Doug is the Field Crop Production Manager, and has been involved in the farming operations of Ioka Farms for 27 years. He attended Chemeketa Community College, and has been and is currently involved with the Oregon Fine Fescue Commission, Oregon Seed Council, Oregon Seed Growers League, and the Oregon Ryegrass Commission.

John Duerst

John is the Vice President, as well as an owner, and is involved in the day-to-day operations of the cleaning and marketing divisions. He served on the Oregon Fine Fescue Commission, and is currently serving on the boards of the Oregon Meadowfoam Growers, Natural Plant Products, and Fitzmaurice Fertilizer. In 2004, John received the Seedsman of the Year Award from the Oregon Seed Growers League.

Karen Duerst

Karen has been with the Seed Cleaning & Marketing Divisions at Ioka Farms since 2002. She has an Associate Degree in Administrative Office Management from Southern Oregon State University, and works with accounts payable and receivable, as well as grower contracts.

Mindy Duerst

Mindy has worked for Ioka Farms since 1993 with the Seed Cleaning & Marketing Divisions, and deals with accounts receivable and grower contracts. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Oregon State University in Home Economics with a minor in Business Administration.

Rob Duerst

Rob is the Seed Cleaning & Marketing Division Manager, and has been involved in the farming operations of Ioka Farms since the age of 8. He attended Chemeketa Community College, and is involved in the Oregon Seed Trade Association and the American Seed Trade Association.

Michele Fennimore

Michele is the Ioka Transport Manager, and is involved with the bookkeeping and payroll for both Ioka Farms and Adams-Franklin Seedling Nursery. Michele attended Chemeketa Community College and worked for Continental & America West Airlines until 1988, when she returned to working on the farm.

Liz Schaecher

Liz has worked for Ioka Farms since February of 2004, and is in charge of marketing and web maintenance.  She has degrees from Oregon State University in Marketing & General Agriculture, and currently serves on the board for the Oregon AgFest.

Ryan Zook

Ryan has worked for Ioka Marketing since 2010, and previously worked on the brokerage side of the seed industry. Along with a degree from Marylhurst University in public relations, he also brings with him 12 years experience in marketing, in both broadcast and print media.
